Pinellas cold night shelters to reopen Sunday, Monday nights

January 17, 2026 – The Homeless Leadership Alliance (HLA) has announced that cold night shelters will open Sunday and Monday nights as “feels like” temperatures will again drop to 40 degrees or below throughout Pinellas County. All sites provide a warm and safe place to stay, and many serve a meal. The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority will provide free bus rides to shelters; passengers must alert drivers when boarding.
