CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WRIC) — Multiple members of the University of Virginia (UVA) Board of Visitors have stepped down following pressure from Gov.-elect Abigail Spanberger (D) less than 24 hours before her inauguration, according to the New York Times (NYT).
On Friday, Jan. 16, three members of the UVA Board of Visitors submitted their resignations, including rector Rachel Sheridan, vice rector Porter Wilkinson and board member Paul Manning, per the NYT.
