FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A man has died after veering off I-69 and crashing into a tree.
The crash occurred at around 7:22 p.m. Saturday night in the northbound lanes of I-69 near the 308-mile marker, or just north of Leesburg Road.
When officers and medics arrived at the scene, they found a red pickup truck on the side of the roadway, near a group of trees. The driver of the truck was an elderly man who was quickly taken to a hospital. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital…
