Two people have been charged after the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office intercepted a delivery of drugs this week that were stored in a Bible intended to be delivered to an inmate inside the Fauquier County Adult Detention Center.
At approximately 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, deputies with the sheriff’s office responded to a “suspicious occurrence at a location in Warrenton,” according to a news release.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the complainant, who provided them with a mailed package. Deputies searched the package, which was found to contain a Bible with suspected narcotics hidden inside.
