OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – Westbound I-96 in Ottawa County was closed for several hours Friday, Jan. 16, due to a crash involving a jackknifed semi-truck.
The crash was reported at 2:23 p.m. near 112th Avenue at exit 10, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
The semi-truck reportedly lost control of the trailer due to the icy roads and crashed into a transit van, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. The 60-year-old driver of the semi was hospitalized with minor injuries from the crash, and the driver of the van was uninjured…
