Beloved Knoxville philanthropist, community leader Natalie Haslam passes away

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Natalie Haslam, a beloved philanthropist and a community leader in Knoxville, has passed away at the age of 94, according to a release from MC2 Consulting.

Haslam, who was a 1952 graduate of the University of Tennessee, was the first woman to have a college at UT named for her and the first female president of the Knoxville Symphony Society.

She was married for 50 years to James A. Haslam II, the founder and longtime CEO of Pilot, and is remembered for being active in Knoxville’s business, civic and philanthropic communities…
