Shot outside mother’s apartment, Lancaster man battles to stay alive

Lancaster City, P.A. — A Lancaster man is fighting for his life after being shot outside his mother’s apartment while his one-year-old son was in the car.

31-year-old Dayshon Havercamp-Murray has spent more than two weeks in the intensive care unit, motionless and connected to machines, with wires all around his body. His mother, Kim Cashaw, has not left his side.

“It was terrifying,” said Cashaw. “I was bawling. I was screaming. He was talking to me, and I didn’t see a lot of blood. I asked him what happened, and he said, ‘That f—ing b— just shot me.’”…
