The La Vergne Board of Mayor & Aldermen passed a resolution at its January meeting calling for the county’s Congressional representatives to support the construction of a new air traffic control tower at the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport.
La Vergne shares a boundary with the airport and La Vergne Alderman Graham Coates has a seat on the Airport Board of Directors. The cost for the proposed new control tower is approximately $21.5 million.
