One person dead following vehicle crash in Alabama

ALABAMA — A Flat Rock man was killed Saturday afternoon after his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree in Jackson County, according to authorities.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency identified the victim as 57-year-old Kenneth D. Evans. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to ALEA, Evans was driving a Ford Fiesta when the vehicle left the road, overturned, and struck a tree. The crash occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Jackson County 95 near Jackson County 295, about two miles south of the Higdon city limits…
