Hundreds gathered for People’s March in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Hundreds of people marched through the city Saturday as part of the nationwide People’s March, a demonstration to defend fundamental rights and freedoms.

Led by the Greater Rochester Chapter of the National Organization for Women, the march started at 11:45 a.m. at the corner of University Avenue and Goodman Street. It will proceed down University Avenue to Atlantic Avenue and end at Three Heads Brewing.

The march advocates for justice across various movements, including LGBTQ+ liberation, immigrant justice, and workers’ rights. Participants are also opposing healthcare cuts, attacks on reproductive freedom, and the criminalization of homelessness…
