SPRING, Texas — A 25-year-old woman from Humble has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after authorities say she threatened and attempted to strike another woman with a 25-pound weight during a confrontation at a Spring gym.
The incident happened Jan. 6 at a 24 Hour Fitness, according to the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office. Deputies say the suspect, identified as Aralyn Martinez, became enraged after seeing a woman she believed was involved with her boyfriend.
Authorities said Martinez and the other woman did not know each other personally and were simply using the gym at the same time. Investigators allege Martinez spotted the woman working out on the gym floor, grabbed a 25-pound weight plate and rushed toward her…
