ST. LOUIS – In the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood, residents and business owners say vacant lots sit untouched for many years.
From boarded-up homes to buildings left neglected, the City of St. Louis says it is stepping in. The St. Louis Development Corporation plans to petition the court to seize dozens of blighted properties through eminent domain, including 80 parcels in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood.
Around 170 owners in Jeff-Vander-Lou and St. Louis Place have received condemnation letters. Alderman Rasheen Aldridge supported this legislation…
