In an act of heroic teamwork, staff members at Frontier Middle School in the Bethel School District have been celebrated for their crucial role in saving a colleague’s life. A situation that could have had a tragic conclusion instead became a testament to the swift and decisive action of these individuals on December 9, 2025.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office’s post, a teacher’s life hung in the balance when she suddenly collapsed in the classroom. Without hesitation, Rick Ingham, Chari Wright, and Angel Pompa sprang to her aid, implementing life-saving CPR as soon as they realized her dire situation. Their colleague Kortnie Kanton, with a presence of mind, dialed 911, while Amy Wingerter and Melissa Pace ensured the front office was alerted and primed for further assistance.
