The passenger who attempted to open an exit door mid-flight while heading to Detroit Metro Airport from Omaha, Nebraska, has been sentenced.
Mario Nikprelaj, a 23-year-old from Metro Detroit, was sentenced to 18 months in prison. He will also be on a supervised release term for two years once he completes his sentence.
