Settlement reached in case involving Harrisburg gas explosion that destroyed a home

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A local plumbing company will have to pay $35,000 to the Commonwealth after a settlement was approved relating to a gas explosion that destroyed a Harrisburg home in 2022.

The complaint was filed by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC), which stated that Pronto Plumbing & Drain Inc. damaged a gas service line while excavating, causing a gas leak that later led to the explosion.
