Girl, 12, battered, tortured and starved to death by dad who kept her chained to furniture

A Pennsylvania father has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and other charges in a disturbing child abuse case that left his 12-year-old dead.

Rendell Hoagland, 54, took the plea deal to avoid the death penalty. It carries a life sentence without the possibility of parole, plus 30 to 60 years.
