VIDEO: High-Speed Pursuit on I-40 Ends After Suspect Crosses Into Tennessee

CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ark. — A high-speed pursuit that began on Interstate 40 in Crittenden County on Dec. 27, 2025, ended after an Arkansas State Police trooper was instructed to terminate the chase once the suspect vehicle exited the interstate in Tennessee.

According to an incident report filed by Trooper Eli Thomas, the pursuit began while he was stationary on the shoulder of Interstate 40 eastbound near the 281-mile marker. Trooper Thomas observed a white Chevrolet Camaro pass his location and conducted a license plate check.

The registered owner of the vehicle was found to have a suspended driver’s license, prompting Trooper Thomas to catch up to the vehicle and attempt a traffic stop near the 283-mile marker…
