Roanoke, Virginia – The city of Roanoke prepares to officially open a brand-new recreational feature in Wasena Park. Residents are invited to join the ribbon cutting for the new skatepark and pump track on January 30, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, located at 1001 Winchester Avenue SW in the heart of Roanoke’s Wasena neighborhood.
The brand-new facility boasts a 15,000-square-foot concrete skatepark complete with modern and challenging features. Skaters can enjoy a wide variety of structures including a half pipe, bowl, handrails, gaps, and more. Designed to cater to skaters of all skill levels, the park offers a dynamic space for youth and adults alike to build skills and community.
Adjacent to the skatepark is a newly built asphalt pump track, offering even more recreational options for cyclists and scooter riders.
