Tallahassee, FL – Residents across North Florida woke up to dangerous cold early Monday as a Freeze Warning remained in effect for much of the Big Bend and Panhandle, with temperatures dropping well below freezing in several counties.

According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, a hard freeze brought temperatures as low as 24 degrees, with the coldest conditions occurring between 4 a.m. and 9 a.m. EST (3 a.m. to 8 a.m. CST) Monday.
