Gun, Ammo Seized After Shots Fired Report Sparks Wilmington Arrest

WILMINGTON, DE — A reported shots-fired call in a north Wilmington neighborhood led police to a vehicle stop and the arrest of a 30-year-old man now facing multiple gun-related charges, authorities said.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers with the Uniformed Services Division were dispatched at approximately 5:06 p.m. on January 14 to the area of East 11th and North Spruce streets following a report of shots fired. Responding officers gathered a description of a possible suspect and the vehicle believed to be connected to the incident.

A short time later, members of the Safe Streets Task Force located a vehicle matching that description in the 900 block of Vandever Avenue and initiated a traffic stop. Police said officers made contact with Daiquan Reams, 30, and took him into custody without incident…
