2 boys critically hurt in south Phoenix crash; Impairment suspected

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Impairment is believed to be a factor in a crash that critically injured two young boys and hospitalized two adults in south Phoenix on Friday night.

Just before 8 p.m., first responders were dispatched to 19th and Southern avenues for a crash involving a pickup truck and a car, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Police say the driver inside the pickup was attempting to turn left before colliding with the car, which was carrying two adults and two boys. All four people inside the car were hospitalized, and the boys suffered critical injuries…
