Bob and Renee Parsons Foundation awards $2 million in grants

The Bob and Renee Parsons Foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $2 million in support of first responders and families facing homelessness in Maricopa County, Arizona.

The funding includes a three-year, $1.5 million grant to UMOM New Day Centers to help fund its mission of supporting homeless families in Phoenix achieve stability and rebuild their lives. The UMOM centers offer emergency shelter, transitional housing, workforce development programs, and wraparound support.

The foundation also awarded a two-year, $600,000 grant to Boulder Crest Foundation to expand its Struggle Well training program for Arizona first responders serving Maricopa County.
