KENT − Recent visitors to Franklin Square Deli on South Water Street might have noticed the sandwich shop, which has been around for more than 40 years, is under new management.
The new owner, though, is a familiar face. Jaimie Reamer, who worked for several years for Franklin Square Deli in different capacities, now owns the restaurant.
“I will be able to hand over the reins to someone who ‘gets it,’ someone who understands what Franklin Square has meant for the community of Kent, someone that has a special flair for our type of food, and someone that has proven to be spectacular with [our] customers, making everyone feel welcome,” longtime former owner Carl Picelle stated in a New Year’s Day post on the restaurant’s Facebook page…
