Snowy conditions cause 6-car pileup in Damascus

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — No one was hurt after six cars crashed on a Damascus hill Saturday, according to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

In a post to the X platform at 10 a.m., crews responded to reports of a six-car pileup in the 10300 block of Sweepstakes Rd. near Newberry Rd.

Firefighters said no one was hurt in the crash, with only minor property damage reported.

An initial investigation determined that the snowy conditions resulted in the side roads being slippery, causing the cars lose control and slide into the other vehicles.
