Mild weather persists as temperatures soar near 80 in Kern River Valley

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — More Mild Days Ahead: A WARM Wednesday saw temperatures nearing 80 in parts of the Kern River Valley! Thursday’s readings came in warmer for the South Valley with Bakersfield topping out out at 72. Afternoon temperatures are currently forecast to continue on the mild side, with perhaps some modest moderation heading later on in the week.

DRY WITH HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUING

High pressure is locked in place and that looks to continue for the time being. Meanwhile, cold and wintry weather may continue back east (as in the central and eastern portions of the US). So, if you miss winter – Arctic air is only a plane ride away (or a long trip by car – whatever works best for you)!
