It was more than 20 years ago when twins Annette and Janette Crossman, who worked at McDonald’s as supervisors, got into the health food business in Southgate with business partner Kathleen Pascoe, buying a small former health food store on Northline and later moving it to and expanding it in Wyandotte.
Now that health food store that’s served Downriver communities for more than two decades is closing.
Total Health Foods in downtown Wyandotte on Biddle Avenue, announced its closure in a Facebook post and that the store’s owners are retiring. More than 100 comments followed the Jan. 15 post, with many people saying they are sad that the store is closing, but happy for the owners’ retirement…
