Two people were arrested Friday in a Stanislaus County investigation into an early December shooting at Riverview Park in Ceres that left a 20-year-old man dead and another man seriously wounded. The arrests follow weeks of follow-up work into the Dec. 3 gunfire, when investigators say several shots rang out during an overnight confrontation at the neighborhood park. Neighbors said word of the arrests brought a mix of relief and renewed concern about safety along the riverfront.
