Police investigating two shootings blocks away from each other in Syracuse’s Westside

(WSYR-TV) — Syracuse police are investigating two shootings in the Westside neighborhood of Syracuse that both happened Sunday afternoon, around the same time, just a couple blocks away from each other.

The first shooting, a police report indicates, was at the intersection of South Geddes and West Fayette streets, where police say a 21-year-old man was found around 1:21 p.m. with gunshot wounds to his chest and hip, and was sent to the hospital to recover. His condition is not known.

The second shooting, another report indicates, was on the 100-block of Richmond Avenue, less than a mile away from the first shooting. At around 1:45 p.m., police say they found a 16-year-old boy at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. The report also says that they found a gray sedan in the area of the shooting that was struck by gunfire…
