GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Several emergency crews from throughout the Capital Region worked to extinguish a trailer home fire in Guilderland Saturday night, according the Guilderland Fire Department. The incident reportedly occurred at a lot at 2460 Western Avenue.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene just before 9:20 p.m. The initial caller reported that there was heavy smoke coming from the affected trailer, the fire department said.
Upon arrival, crews found a working fire. According to officials, the flames remained contained to the trailer of origin.
The Guilderland Fire Department, Police Department and EMS were assisted at the fire by the Fort Hunter Fire Department, Rotterdam District 2 Fire Department and National Grid. The Westmere Fire Department also provided station coverage as crews operated at the scene.

The incident also reportedly marked the first deployment of the Countywide Structural Decontamination Unit.
