AUBURN, Ala. – South Carolina competed valiantly for 40 minutes, a stark contrast from its previous road game in a hostile environment, but still came up short against Auburn, 71-67, on Saturday night at Neville Arena.
It was far from a perfect game for the Gamecocks (10-8, 1-4), but many of the keys to the game weren’t tangible ones and those poise and effort moments were enough to keep them in it, but not enough to win it.
