A Friday evening in South Dallas turned deadly when a woman was hit and killed by a vehicle near the intersection of Hickman Street and South Malcolm X Boulevard, according to police. Officers were called to the scene at about 7:36 p.m., but investigators say the vehicle involved took off before first responders arrived.
