MLK Day of Service brings community, kids together in north Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — On Saturday, service took center stage in north Baton Rouge as residents, community leaders, and young volunteers came together to honor Dr. King’s legacy through action.

Councilman Anthony Kenney hosted a district-wide community cleanup Saturday at the Jewel J. Newman Community Center, encouraging families and neighbors to spend the holiday giving back.
