HOUSTON, TX – Houston police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man at an apartment complex in northwest Houston more than five years after the crime.
Chandler Lusk, 25, is charged with murder in the 178th Criminal District Court in connection with the December 3, 2020 shooting at the Coppertree Village Apartments, located at 1415 West Gulf Bank Road. The victim was identified as 24-year-old Tyrome Ervin.
At about 6:55 p.m. on the night of the shooting, Houston Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire at the apartment complex. When officers arrived, they found Houston Fire Department paramedics providing aid to Ervin, who had been shot.
