Dylan Edwards Becomes Laughing Stock After Committing to Kansas

Dylan Edwards just gave college football fans fresh material. Edwards bounced from Colorado to Kansas State before entering the portal earlier this month. His 2025 campaign fell apart after an ankle injury in the Ireland season opener against Iowa State derailed everything. He managed three more appearances but called it quits in November and took a redshirt. Now heโ€™s crossing enemy lines in the Sunflower Showdown to join the Jayhawksโ€™ backfield overhaul.

The Derby, Kansas native posted an AI-generated image Sunday showing himself in Jayhawks gear with the caption โ€œfall seven times, stand up eight๐Ÿซก.โ€ That inspirational quote didnโ€™t land quite right considering this marks his third stop in four seasons. And the comment section absolutely torched him for it.

When healthy, Edwards can play. He averaged over seven yards per carry during his 2024 season with the Wildcats and showed serious versatility catching passes out of the backfield. Kansas needs that production after losing their entire rushing attack to graduation, including quarterback Jalon Daniels.
