ARLINGTON, Texas — The City of Arlington has activated its Homeless Emergency Weather Shelter Plan from 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17 to 8 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, due to freezing temperatures. The Salvation Army will serve as a temporary inclement weather shelter for homeless individuals, according to a press release from the Office of Communication.
The shelter, located at 712 West Abram St., will accept individuals from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Jan. 17, with check-out by 8 a.m. on Jan. 18.
