ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– The Albany Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured a 16-year-old male Sunday night. According to the department, the teenager walked into a local hospital with a wound to his arm.

Police said they responded to Albany Memorial Hospital around 8:40 p.m. for reports of a walk-in gunshot victim. Upon arrival, they found the 16-year-old with a gunshot wound to his arm.
A preliminary investigation determined the shooting took place on the 300 block of Second Street, near Judson Street at around 6:30 p.m. Sunday night. The victim was treated at Albany Memorial and was then transferred to Albany Medical Center for further treatment.
