TROY — A man was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured as he crossed Hoosick Street Sunday evening, according to city police.
The man was crossing near the intersection with 15th Street when a westbound vehicle struck him around 5:45 p.m., Deputy Chief Steven Barker said Monday. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital.
The driver was issued a ticket for an expired license. The crash remains under investigation, but police believe, based on witness interviews, the pedestrian’s dark clothing and crossing outside a crosswalk were the primary factors, Barker said…
