Western New York is bracing for some heavy lake effect snow today, and that has led officials in Erie County to issue a travel advisory fot the entire county.
Travel Advisory In Place For Erie County
With lake effect snow expected to move across the region today and gusty winds, a travel advisory is already in place for all of Erie County. This means that you can drive, but try to avoid being on the roads if possible.
Due to the upcoming snow storm and winds which are expected to create whiteouts, I am issuing a Travel Advisory Erie County as of 10 PM. Please limit all unnecessary travel, but if you must go, exercise caution on the roads and make sure your vehicle has a winter emergency kit. pic.twitter.com/MN1nRtG77h
