27 co-workers in Northeast Ohio to split $1 million Powerball prize: Here’s where they bought the winning ticket

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — A group of 27 co-workers from a local business who regularly pool their money to play the lottery are getting some extra cash after hitting a Powerball prize worth $1 million.

Although the business where the winners work was not revealed, the Ohio Lottery said the co-workers purchased their winning ticket at Speedway #3671, which is located at 103 East Ave. in Tallmadge.

“After 26.75 percent federal and state taxes, they will split $732,500,” according to a press release from the Ohio Lottery…
