Former Cincinnati industrial site earns historic recognition; what it means

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The former Lunkenheimer Valve Company District in South Fairmount has been added to the National Register of Historic Places, marking a milestone for redevelopment efforts led by the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority.

The designation recognizes the historic significance of several industrial buildings, including the Lunkenheimer Foundry Building, the Lunkenheimer Office Building and the Midwest Textiles Building. The Hamilton County Landbank, managed by The Port, sponsored the nomination as part of ongoing revitalization efforts in the neighborhood.
