EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – A reinforcing shot of cold air will plunge into the Tri-State tonight, making for a bitter cold start to the work week. Temperatures will warm towards the upper 30s to lower 40s by the middle and end of the week. Our temperatures will plunge back down into the 20s by next weekend.
Temperatures will only climb into the upper 20s this afternoon. Clouds will gradually increase this afternoon and evening ahead of another reinforcing shot of cold air overnight. Some flurries will possible overnight and temperatures will drop into the low to mid teens overnight.
Monday morning will be the coldest of the week ahead, as it may only feel like the single digits above and below zero! Highs will top out in the upper teens to lower 20s Monday afternoon before plummeting back down into the upper single digits overnight. Temperatures will hover around freezing for Tuesday before climbing back up into the 30s and 40s for the middle and end of next week…
