Cumberland County police officer hit, killed during snowstorm remembered 51 years later

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Monday marks 51 years since a Silver Spring Township police officer was struck by a car and killed during a snowstorm.

Officer Paul Walters, 30, had been part of the Silver Spring Township Police Department for three years before he died in the line of duty Jan. 19, 1975, according to a Facebook post from the police department.
