KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Knoxville Police Department has charged a man after a wrong-way crash on I-640 West that led to the death of a motorcyclist on Sunday night.
It happened around 7:15 p.m. when KPD officers responded to a crash on I-640 West near the Broadway exit. KPD said a car had hit the guardrail of the interstate and was driving down the wrong direction and crashed into a motorcycle that was heading west. The man on the motorcycle was thrown from it, police said, and died at the scene.
