If it feels like there’s a lot going on (and up) in the City of Maryville, the reason might have less to do with a higher population, and more to do with the city finally finding its footing.
“If I had to put a them on the retreat this year, it’s really transition. We’re in a transition in so many ways,” said Maryville City Manager Greg McClain Thursday morning at the Tremont Lodge and Resort in Townsend.
McClain, the Maryville City Council and a number of city staff leadership personnel met at the resort for the start of the city’s annual budget retreat, which went for six hours before officials adjourned.
