The following is a statement from the New Bedford Police Union:
“The New Bedford Police Union is extremely proud of the members who were at the grand reopening of the Zeiterion Theater on Saturday, January 17.
Our members stood outside of the theater, quietly holding signs displaying “SUPPORT NBPD FOR A FAIR CONTRACT”. This in no way was meant to be disrespectful to all of the people of the Zeiterion Theater who have worked so hard during its restoration and subsequent grand reopening. We appreciate the Zeiterion Theater, the people behind the scenes who make the theater what it is, and what it means for the City of New Bedford.
