WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A lawsuit that was filed against the City of Wilmington and the Wilmington Police Department (WPD) in relation to a 2022 death has been dismissed.
Val D’Auvray II sued the city and WPD for $25,000 last year over the death of his son, Val D’Auvray III, citing claims of negligence.
Val III was found dead on the property of Tru Colors Brewing on April 18, 2022, after leaving an addiction treatment center in Wilmington earlier in the month, court records said…
