Kenedy turned in multiple podium finishes in both the boys and girls divisions Saturday at the Rockport Invitational Powerlifting Meet, placing fourth in the boys standings and fifth on the girls side.
In the boys meet, Kenedy accumulated 19 team points, highlighted by a standout performance from David Fraga, who delivered the highest total of the day by winning the 148-pound weight class with a massive 1,360-pound effort. Fraga lifted 505 pounds in the squat, 355 in the bench press and 500 in the deadlift.
Kenedy also received strong performances from Nathaniel Peralta, who placed third in the 198-pound division with a 1,070-pound total, and Richard Wilson, who finished fifth at 220 pounds with 1,360. Michael Romo added a sixth-place finish in the 220-pound class, while Zane McKee placed eighth at 165 pounds. Jesse Fraga and Gianni Gibson rounded out Kenedy’s scoring efforts with second- and third-place finishes, respectively, in the 275-pound division…
