FORT WORTH, Texas — An injured Fort Worth firefighter will receive workers’ compensation for treatment for injuries sustained while responding to a Fort Worth house fire.
Sedgwick, which handles workers’ compensation claims for the city of Fort Worth, allegedly initially denied and inured firefighters claims, but reversed that decision after public backlash to the decision, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram first reported.
Caleb Halvorson, a Fort Worth firefighter, was badly burned while responding to a house fire in September 2025.
