Orland Park Votes Tonight To Approve First-Of-Its-Kind Amazon Superstore

Orland Park Mayor Jim Dodge was on WJOL’s “Slocum in the Morning” today, where he discussed a brand new development proposed for the corner of Lagrange and 159th Street. The Amazon store – a 23-thousand foot development – would develop on the site that is currently a bean field.

Mayor Dodge says Amazon approached them regarding the development, which Orland Park welcomed since their goal is to make that corridor a “shopping destination.” The new Amazon store would be next to a Costco, and not far from a Walmart and Target.
