Nebraska man seriously injured in crash on Highway 136

A 22-year-old man from Gretna, Nebraska, suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday, Jan. 17, on Highway 136 in Nodaway County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. at Smith Street in Burlington Junction.

According to the patrol, the man was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado westbound when he failed to negotiate a curve. The pickup traveled off the north side of the roadway into a yard, struck a tree, continued west through the yard, and then struck a house.
